Genesis 31
Genesis 31:55 & early in the morning Laban rose up & kissed his sons & his daughters & blessed them: & Laban departed & returned unto his place.
Genesis 31:54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount & called his brethren to eat bread: & they did eat bread & tarried all night in the mount.
Genesis 31:53 The God of Abraham & the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. & Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.
Genesis 31:52 This heap be witness & this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee & that thou shalt not pass over this heap & this pillar unto me, for harm.
Genesis 31:51 & Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap & behold this pillar, which I have cast betwixt me & thee;
Genesis 31:50 If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me & thee.
Genesis 31:49 & Mizpah; for Laban said, The LORD watch between me & thee, when we are absent one from another.
Genesis 31:48 & Laban said, This heap is a witness betwixt me & thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
Genesis 31:47 & Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
Genesis 31:46 & Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; & they took stones & made an heap: & they did eat there upon the heap.
Genesis 31:45 & Jacob took a stone & set it up for a pillar.
Genesis 31:44 Now therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I & thou; & let it be for a witness betwixt me & thee.”
Genesis 31:43 & Laban answered & said unto Jacob, These daughters are my daughters & these children are my children & these cattle are my cattle & all that thou seest is mine: & what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children which they have born?”
Genesis 31:42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham & the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction & the labour of my hands & rebuked thee yesternight.
Genesis 31:41 Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters & six years for thy cattle: & thou hast changed my wages ten times.
Genesis 31:40 Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me & the frost by night; & my sleep departed from mine eyes.
Genesis 31:39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.
Genesis 31:38 This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes & thy she goats have not cast their young & the rams of thy flock have I not eaten.
Genesis 31:37 Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my brethren & thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.
Genesis 31:36 & Jacob was wroth & chode with Laban: & Jacob answered & said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
Genesis 31:35 & Rachel said to her father Laban, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. & Laban searched, but found not the images.
Genesis 31:34 Now Rachel had taken the images & put them in the camel's furniture & sat upon them. & Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
Genesis 31:33 & Laban went into Jacob's tent & into Leah's tent & into the two maidservants' tents; but Laban found not his idols. Then went Laban out of Leah's tent & entered into Rachel's tent.
Genesis 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me & take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.
Genesis 31:31 & Jacob answered & said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me.
Genesis 31:30 & now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?
Genesis 31:29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
Genesis 31:28 & hast not suffered me to kiss my sons & my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing.
Genesis 31:27 Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly & steal away from me; & didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth & with songs, with tabret & with harp?
Genesis 31:26 & Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me & carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?
Genesis 31:25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: & Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
Genesis 31:24 & God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night & said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
Genesis 31:23 & Laban took his brethren with him & pursued after Jacob seven days' journey; & they overtook Jacob in the mount Gilead.
Genesis 31:22 & it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.
Genesis 31:21 So Jacob fled with all that Jacob had; & Jacob rose up & passed over the river & set his face toward the mount Gilead.
Genesis 31:20 & Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that Jacob told Laban not that Jacob fled.
Genesis 31:19 & Laban went to shear his sheep: & Rachel had stolen the images that were Rachel's father's.
Genesis 31:18 & Jacob carried away all his cattle & all his goods which Jacob had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which Jacob had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.
Genesis 31:17 Then Jacob rose up & set his sons and his wives upon camels;
Genesis 31:16 For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours & our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
Genesis 31:15 Are we not counted of Laban strangers? for Laban hath sold us & hath quite devoured also our money.
Genesis 31:14 & Rachel and Leah answered & said unto Jacob, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
Genesis 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar & where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, & return unto the land of thy kindred.
Genesis 31:12 & the angel said, Lift up now thine eyes & see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled & grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
Genesis 31:11 & the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: & I said, Here am I.
Genesis 31:10 & it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes & saw in a dream & behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled & grisled.
Genesis 31:9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father & given them to me.
Genesis 31:8 If Laban said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: & if Laban said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
Genesis 31:7 & your father hath deceived me & changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
Genesis 31:6 & ye know that with all my power I have served your father.
Genesis 31:5 & said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
Genesis 31:4 & Jacob sent & called Rachel & Leah to the field unto his flock,
Genesis 31:3 & the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers & to thy kindred; & I will be with thee.
Genesis 31:2 & Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban & behold, it was not toward Jacob as before.
1 & Jacob heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; & of that which was our father's hath Jacob gotten all this glory. 2 & Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, & behold, it was not toward Jacob as before. 3 & the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers & to thy kindred; & I will be with thee. 4 & Jacob sent & called Rachel & Leah to the field unto his flock, 5 & said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me. 6 & ye know that with all my power I have served your father. 7 & your father hath deceived me & changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me. 8 If Laban said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if Laban said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked. 9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father & given them to me. 10 & it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes & saw in a dream & behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled & grisled. 11 & the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: & I said, Here am I. 12 & the angel of God said, Lift up now thine eyes & see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled & grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. 13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar & where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land & return unto the land of thy kindred. 14 & Rachel & Leah answered & said unto Jacob, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house? 15 Are we not counted of Laban strangers? for Laban hath sold us & hath quite devoured also our money. 16 For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours & our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do. 17 Then Jacob rose up & set his sons & his wives upon camels; 18 & Jacob carried away all his cattle & all his goods which Jacob had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which Jacob had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan. 19 & Laban went to shear his sheep: & Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's. 20 & Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that Jacob told him not that Jacob fled. 21 So Jacob fled with all that Jacob had; and Jacob rose up & passed over the river & set his face toward the mount Gilead. 22 & it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled. 23 And Laban took his brethren with him & pursued after Jacob seven days' journey; & they overtook Jacob in the mount Gilead. 24 & God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night & said unto Laban, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad. 25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: & Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead. 26 & Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me & carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword? 27 Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly & steal away from me; & didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth & with songs, with tabret & with harp? 28 & hast not suffered me to kiss my sons & my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing. 29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad. 30 & now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods? 31 & Jacob answered & said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me. 32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me & take it to thee.
