Genesis 32

Genesis 32:32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because the angel man touched the hollow of israel's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

Genesis 32:31 & as israel passed over Penuel the sun rose upon Jacob & Jacob halted upon his thigh.

Genesis 32:30 & israel called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face & my life is preserved.

Genesis 32:29 & israel asked the angel man & said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. & the angel man said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And the angel man blessed Jacob there.

Genesis 32:27 & the angel man said unto Jacob, What is thy name? & Jacob said, Jacob.

Genesis 32:26 & the angel man said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. & Jacob said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Genesis 32:25 & when the angel man saw that he prevailed not against Jacob, the angel touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh; & the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as Jacob wrestled with the angel man.

Genesis 32:24 & Jacob was left alone; & there wrestled an angel man with Jacob until the breaking of the day.

Genesis 32:23 & Jacob took them & sent them over the brook & sent over that he had.

Genesis32:22 & Jacob rose up that night & took his two wives & his two womenservants & his eleven sons & passed over the ford Jabbok.

Genesis 32:21 So went the present over before Jacob: & himself lodged that night in the company.

Genesis 32:20 & say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. For Jacob said, I will appease Esau with the present that goeth before me, & afterward I will see Esau's face; peradventure Esau will accept of me.

Genesis 32:19 & so commanded Jacob the second & the third & all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find Esau.

Genesis 32:18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: & behold, also Jacob is behind us.

Genesis 32:17 & Jacob commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee & asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? & whither goest thou? & whose are these before thee?

Genesis 32:16 & Jacob delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; & said unto his servants, Pass over before me & put a space betwixt drove & drove.

Genesis 32:15 Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine, and ten bulls, twenty she asses, and ten foals.

Genesis 32:14 Two hundred she goats & twenty he goats, two hundred ewes & twenty rams,

Genesis 32:13 & Jacob lodged there that same night; & took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother;

Genesis 32:12 & thou saidst, I will surely do thee good & make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

Genesis 32:11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear Esau, lest Esau will come & smite me & the mother with the children.

Genesis 32:10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies & of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; & now I am become two bands.

Genesis 32:9 & Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham & God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country & to thy kindred & I will deal well with thee:

Genesis 32:8 & said, If Esau come to the one company & smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.

Genesis 32:7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid & distressed: & Jacob divided the people that were with him, and the flocks & herds & the camels, into two bands;

Genesis 32:6 & the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau & also Esau cometh to meet thee & four hundred men with Esau.

Genesis 32:5 & I have oxen & asses, flocks & menservants & womenservants: & I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight.

Genesis 32:4 & Jacob commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban & stayed there until now:

Genesis 32:3 & Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

Genesis 32:2 & when Jacob saw the angels, Jacob said, This is God's host: & Jacob called the name of that place Mahanaim.

Genesis 32:1 & Jacob went on his way & the angels of God met Jacob.

1 & Jacob went on his way & the angels of God met him. 2 & when Jacob saw the angels of God, Jacob said, This is God's host: & Jacob called the name of that place Mahanaim. 3 & Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom. 4 & Jacob commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye speak unto my lord Esau; Thy servant Jacob saith thus, I have sojourned with Laban & stayed there until now: 5 & I have oxen & asses, flocks & menservants, & womenservants: & I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in thy sight. 6 & the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to thy brother Esau & also he cometh to meet thee & four hundred men with him. 7 Then Jacob was greatly afraid & distressed: & Jacob divided the people that was with him & the flocks & herds & the camels, into two bands; 8 & said, If Esau come to the one company & smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape. 9 & Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham & God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country & to thy kindred & I will deal well with thee: 10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies & of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; & now I am become two bands. 11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest Esau will come and smite me & the mother with the children. 12 & thou saidst, I will surely do thee good & make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. 13 & Jacob lodged there that same night; & took of that which came to his hand a present for Esau his brother; 14 Two hundred she goats & twenty he goats, two hundred ewes & twenty rams, 15 Thirty milch camels with their colts, forty kine & ten bulls, twenty she asses & ten foals. 16 & Jacob delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by themselves; & said unto his servants, Pass over before me, & put a space betwixt drove & drove. 17 & Jacob commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meeteth thee & asketh thee, saying, Whose art thou? & whither goest thou? & whose are these before thee? 18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: & behold, also Jacob is behind us. 19 & so commanded Jacob the second & the third & all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall ye speak unto Esau, when ye find him. 20 & say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob is behind us. And the man blessed Jacob there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face & my life is preserved. 31 & as Jacob passed over Penuel the sun rose upon Jacob & Jacob halted upon his thigh. 32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because the man God's angel touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.
